How are you cock-a-doodle-doing?

Hi Everyone! I made these cards awhile ago and keep forgetting to share them! They were a set of cards made for Jim's Mom to give to a friend of hers.

The chicken was cut from the Country Life cartridge. The cut is on page 44. I did some inking around the edges (I know you are SHOCKED!). I am sorry I don't have more photos in the cards in stages, but sometimes I get so busy I forget to take pictures. I think everyone can appreciate that.

Let's have a look-see:

Here is a look at the chickens in the early stages.
Then we skip a BUNCH of stages.

I used the computer to make the "how are you..." sentiment.
All paper is from The Paper Studio Farm Fresh stack.

I stamped a crow or raven (you decide) on the back of each envelope.

I used my Martha Stewart Custom Stamp set to make the 'Lone Hickory Farm' stamp.
The chickens were adhered with foam dots for dimension.
All cards are blank on the inside.

I wish I could offer more details. I guess we'll consider this one an inspirational post?
If you have questions please ask though.

I hope each of you are cock-a-doodle-doing well on this sunny (it is here) afternoon!
Thanks for stopping in!!!

One stamp, some scraps, three cards

It is a beautiful day here in Western PA. I admit it, I sat on the back deck in my shorts, tank top, and sunglasses and closed my eyes for a few earlier. I'm pretty sure I could have taken a nap like that. Our backyard is west facing, that means there isn't a shortage of rays (as long as that nice warm ball of fire comes out for the day)

The peas are growing, as are the beets. I'm a little worried about the spinach seeds. I am wondering if perhaps they didn't receive enough water. I didn't plant the whole packet so we have a second chance if needed. The carrots and onions were planted over the weekend. I planted the chard today. I planted some flower seeds over the weekend too.  Everything will need covered tonight, we are expecting a frost after 2 am.

Enough about the garden. Let's get crafting shall we?

I used a stamp from Inkadinkado to make the following cards. The card bases were premade. Any other paper on the cards came out of the scrap drawers. I have recently cleaned out those drawers and given paper away, but they are still overflowing...ah I love paper!

I did use embossing powder and a heat gun on the stamped image. You can't necessarily tell that from looking at the pictures, but I promise I did.

I hope everyone made it through Monday! If the sun is out where you are, I hope you took a couple minutes and got a couple minutes of peace and vitamin D!

10 cards for a Chinese Auction

Happy Friday (or whatever day of the week it is when you read this) Everyone!!! The sun is shining and it is very spring looking outside! Jynx found herself a sunny spot in the bedroom and take a nap in the sun!  Lucky little fluffkin!!!

I mentioned awhile back a friend and coworker has been diagnosed with colon cancer. A group of people have pulled together to have a benefit spaghetti dinner this weekend with a Chinese Auction and a Silent Auction. I made a card basket for the Chinese Auction.

There are a couple Cricut Cuts and a lot of K&Company die cuts!!!!  Let's take a look!!!

All 10 cards

I needed a basket. Sister #5 had given me this chicken feeder for my kitchen.
It was sitting on my church pew and I needed a basket of some sort.
The chicken feeder looked like it would get the job done.
I'm sure hoping she won't mind since it is for a good cause. (Sister #5 is a coworker also)

Now, I obviously have some things to learn about wrapping these things up, but it gets the job done.
I attached a piece of paper listing what is inside and some contact information.
Now we have a 'basket' o'cards ready for auction.

Everything I have read or heard is leaning toward the fact the show of support is going to be amazing this weekend! Not sure if she will read this, but Brandi we love you and you have a bigger support group than you  could have imagined Buddy!!!!!! {hugs and prayers}

Thanks for stopping by everyone! Please leave some kind words either about the cards or for Brandi.

Four cards, one cut!

It did something here today it hasn't done much of this winter. It snowed. Kinda crazy. The sun is shining now and everything appears so bright!

I have four cards to share with you. A lady I work with asked if I could make her some simple cards with a white dog.

It was amazing to me how much just a piece of paper changes the mood/tone of a card.

Take a look.  The dog is from, yep!, Create A Critter.

The cards are all A7 size cards

All cards are blank inside so Nancy can personalize them for her needs.

The paper on the first three cards is from the DCWV Lemon Flower Matstack.
The paper on the card below is from the DCWV the Tradewinds Matstack.

Simple but fun.  Thanks so much for stopping by!!!!

Lots o Cards :)

Hey Everyone! Sorry for the missing in action status this week.

I have a few Valentine's to finish up and then I am done with Valentines.  This post isn't about Valentines though. It is going to be full of pictures though.

I was in Joann's the end of last week with a coupon...dangerous right?  Well it was definitely dangerous! Last week all the things I thought I needed were on sale and the coupon was good on regular and sale price items. A girl's happy place right? I challenged myself. I bought a set of K&Company diecuts and wanted to see how many cards I could make with the set.  Here's one of the sets I bought and the one featured in this post.

Here is what I did.
I didn't use all the pieces as there were some that didn't overly excite me.

The inside of the birthday card

The rest of the cards are blank on the inside.

I really like how this next one turned out. I left the sentiment space blank since I feel this card could be used for a number of things. When the time comes it will stamp it with the appropriate sentiment!

I am going to send the following card to my Grandma.

This last one is a fave too. The hydrangea look like they are tied with similar twine as the card.

I did have a handful of cuts left that no matter what I did with them I didn't like them on a card.
I kept them because they could make scrapbook page additions.
I have purchased a few other sets like this.
I will share when I do.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a GREAT weekend!!
